Leather Care
Full-grain leather is very high quality but isn’t meant to stay perfect it’s meant to age.
Each leather product is embossed and hand-dyed, giving it depth, texture, and a finish that will continue to develop over time. With wear, the leather will soften and darken slightly,
A few simple habits will keep it looking good and lasting for years.
The Basics
Leather is tough, but it’s still a natural material.
- Keep it away from excess moisture
- If it gets wet, let it air dry naturally (no heat)
- Store it flat or loosely rolled when not in use
- Avoid long periods in direct sunlight
Because your item is dyed by hand, extended exposure to water or sun may gradually affect the colour. This is part of the material’s natural behaviour, not a fault.
Conditioning
Like any natural material, leather benefits from occasional conditioning.
When to condition:
Every 3–6 months with regular wear, or whenever the leather starts to feel dry or look dull.
How to condition:
- Apply a small amount of conditioner to a clean cloth
- Rub it into the leather in small circular motions
- Let it absorb for 10–20 minutes
- Buff lightly with a dry cloth
Conditioning helps maintain flexibility and enhances the depth of the dyed finish.
Leather Care Product
We recommend using a natural leather conditioner to keep your item nourished and protected.
Our preferred option DASCO Leather conditioner is simple to apply and effective. It helps prevent drying and cracking while preserving the character of the embossed pattern and hand-dyed finish.
What to Expect
Marks, creases, and subtle shifts in colour are not defects.
They’re part of full-grain leather, especially when it’s embossed and hand-dyed. Over time, your item will develop character through wear, with highs and lows in the finish that make it unique.
Built to Last
These belts are made to be worn daily and kept for years.
Take care of the leather, and it will take care of you.
